Samples from my new camera

Here are a couple photos taken with my new camera. The first is a view of beautiful Mt. Timpanogos from the street in front of our house. The second is of an apple that somehow missed getting picked from our apple trees this fall. It looks cool, but I don't know what I did to make it look that way. Like I said, I have a lot to learn!

  1. WOW!!!! Don't you just love your camera. That's a great picture. I agree with you that when it comes to pictures they often look cool but I don't know what I did.

Happy "late" birthday too!!!! I was SO impressed with Jeff's thoughtfulness and his ability to not only hide a camera from you but A BLOG......come on ......that's pretty amazing!!! He's a keeper!!

It looks like you have a huge fan club and what can I say to all your friends but ......HAHAHAHA we have Harmony now and we are glad. We're glad we have your whole family.

I hope you had a great birthday.

  2. The apple was taken with a large aperture (small F-stop number) which gave you a shallow depth of field. A great way to highlight your subject matter.
